Complete renovation
Four level side split home was apparently renovated years before in different stages and by different homeowners who were adding new "features" to meet their needs. 2 unit home with one 2 bedroom unit (bedrooms with 5 foot ceiling...) and one 1 bedroom unit was far away from recent living standards. But the house had a big square footage which we were able to work with and give the home a new cottage feeling design without overspending.
Creating an open concept and raising the roof was critical in order to achieve spacious living, dining, and open kitchen concept and 2 standard bedrooms on the 4th level.
The project involved new:
framing and insulation
windows, doors and roof
heating, plumbing and electrical
flooring, trims, painting
2 bathrooms and kitchen
Special features added:
a lot of stonework, jewel stone application and new landscaping
RENOVATION PROJECT
1040 square feet 3 bedroom bungalow was completely gutted. The home was neglected and had water in the basement.
The whole house was waterproofed with the membrane and proper drainage installed around the house to keep the basement dry. Removed all drywall and insulation.
